Kimberly Walters
Director of Choirs

Born and raised in Vermont on a dairy farm, Mrs. Walters had a love of sacred music from the time she could read, singing in her parish choir starting at age 6. She brings with her a wide array of experiences working with children, teaching, and directing sacred music.

She graduated high school Valedictorian, and went on to earn Bachelor of Arts in Music, with a church music concentration, from Eastern University in St. Davids, PA. It was there that she discovered both the Latin mass, and the church’s rich treasury of music, doing much of her own independent study on the history of Catholic sacred music. She lived a year in Chicago, broadening her sacred music experience by involvement in the choirs at St. John Cantius parish, even initiating the development of a women’s chant schola for the church. She moved to Fort Worth, Texas in 2009, and has been living in Irving, TX since 2013, directing music at Mater Dei Parish since 2012. She has developed both children’s choirs and adult choirs, accomplishing a high enough level of excellence to record albums of the parish’s music, sung by the volunteer choirs, as a fundraiser for the parish. She also taught elementary choir music previously at St. Peter’s Classical School and Faustina Academy, and SAT prep for 2 companies: Princeton Review, Huntington Learning Center, and developed her own study program for homeschoolers which she taught at Mater Dei’s homeschool co-op.  She has periodically sung in prominent community choirs, both in college, and after moving to Texas (Denton Bach Society, Fort Worth Chorale). When not directing music, Mrs. Walters is busy tending to her 5 children, and enjoys reading fiction novels, vegetable gardening, biking, dancing, experiencing new places, and just generally starting new projects!

Robb Wasielewski
Philosophy & Theology

Prior to joining Chesterton Academy of Fort Worth, Mr. Wasielewski taught at Founders Classical Academy of Flower Mound, Founders Classical Academy of Leander and Great Hearts Academy in Irving.

Before embarking on his teaching career, Mr. Wasielewski spent nearly two decades as a senior director in educational and cultural institutions in both administrative and external relations communication roles.  His prior experience includes working as a School Operations Director for a charter school system in San Antonio, leading two art museums as a Director of Marketing and as an Executive Director, and serving as the Dean of Institutional Advancement for a small design college in Tennessee.

In addition to receiving his BA from the University of Dallas in 1993, Mr. Wasielewski was honored to be a part of the inaugural class of the George Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M where he graduated with his master’s degree in 1999.

He currently lives in Flower Mound with his wife Amy, (who is also in educational administration) and their two dogs (in whom he has yet to instill a sense of moral virtue.)

In his spare time, he enjoys “the pursuit of the beautiful” by spending time outdoors, biking, and working on various art and design projects.

Ken Wright
Latin

Mr. Wright grew up in the Texas Panhandle and received his B.A. and M.A. degrees from the University of Dallas. From 1986 to 2024 he taught Latin at R.L. Paschal High School in FWISD. Reared an Episcopalian, Mr. Wright entered the Church in 1990 and is a parishioner at St Thomas Becket.  He is very much looking forward to teaching Latin at the Academy.
