Humanities Teacher/Campus Leadership Role | Full-Time

Chesterton Academy, a classical high school in the Catholic tradition, seeks a talented and dynamic full time Humanities teacher to join our team in a teaching and leadership capacity starting in the 2025-2026 academic year.

The successful candidates will be able to teach multiple levels of at least two of the following subjects: Literature, Theology, and potentially choir. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Literature, Theology, or a related Humanities field is required. Three to five years of teaching experience is preferred, as well as experience in and passion for Catholic classical education.

The leadership role is that of Academic Dean/Assistant Headmaster, the duties of which include, but are not limited to the following: monitoring curriculum adherence; evaluating academic status of the student body; facilitating tutoring programs and credit recovery; tracking graduation credits for transfers; supervising accommodation plans; addressing long-term absence issues.

The candidate must be a practicing Catholic and willing to take the Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium. Candidates must demonstrate excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills, and possess a track record of contributing to the vision and mission of an apostolic and educational enterprise.

In addition to their teaching responsibilities, faculty at Chesterton Academy participate in the House system, which is designed to promote character and virtue, and to help students grow in holiness. Faculty members are required to attend daily Mass with the entire student body, and assist in leading spiritual retreats and school activities.

Fine Arts Teacher | Full-time/Part-time

Administrative Model

The Headmaster and the Executive Director lead the administrative team at Chesterton Academy. This model of school administration is one of equality with both specific and shared responsibilities.

 The Headmaster is responsible for internal operations, including the instructional leadership of the school, as well as hiring and supervision of instructional personnel, the curriculum, and student life.

The Executive Director is responsible for the business aspects of the administration including finances, human resources, fundraising, strategic planning, public relations, and building facility.

 These co-leaders share responsibilities for nurturing and maintaining the mission and traditions of the school, and ensuring fidelity to the Magisterium. Both administrators are hired by and report directly to the Board of Directors.

 Summary

The Executive Director embraces the mission of Chesterton Academy and the broader vision of launching a new era of education based on the Chesterton model.

The executive director must possess strong leadership skills that inspire excellence and cooperation from all constituent groups and demonstrate (1) positive convictions about Chesterton’s unique integrated curriculum and dedication to building a culture of life, (2) comprehensive working knowledge of school finance, operations, and budgeting, (3) the ability to promote a strong institutional advancement (fundraising) program, and (4) a commitment to continuing and enhancing strategic planning. Familiarity with public relations and communications and the supervision of facilities will be valuable assets.

The Executive Director must be practicing Roman Catholic, possess the minimum of a Master’s Degree in Administration or related field, and demonstrate a commitment to Catholic secondary education. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.

The Board of Directors appoints the Executive director of Chesterton Academy. A collaborative relationship between the Executive director and Headmaster is a requirement. The responsibilities of the Executive director include: (1) daily operations; (2) advancement and fundraising; (2) finances and budgeting; (3) Board of Directors activities and long-range planning.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

1.      Lead institutional advancement and fund-raising activities to meet and exceed fundraising goals.

2.     Daily operations including wide range of school administration including finance, human resources, facilities management, public relations.

3.     Maintain/establish and implement, in collaboration with the Headmaster, faculty and staff, policies and programs designed to integrate the philosophy and mission of the school founders.

4.     Implement policies and directives of the Board of Directors.

5.     Oversee and facilitate long-range planning.

6.     Provide input and direction for the Board of Directors and plan and implement Board formation strategies.

7.     Maintain/establish and implement financial procedures that provide information to the Board and stability to Chesterton Academy.

8.     Provide public relations activities that maintain positive communication with key constituents.

Relationships

 The Executive director maintains the following working relationships:

·       The Executive director reports directly to the Board of Directors.

·       The Executive director maintains a consultative, collaborative relationship with the Headmaster.

·       The Executive director maintains a supervisory relationship with selected staff.

Requirements

Education:

Masters in Administration or related field

Experience:

Previous experience in administration; secondary school administrative experience preferred; familiarity with the mission of Chesterton Academy and the teachings of the Catholic Church; and working knowledge of institutional advancement

Math & Science Teacher | Full-time

Chesterton Academy of Fort Worth, a classical high school in the Catholic tradition, seeks a talented and dynamic full-time Math teacher to join our team starting in the 2025-2026 academic year. Part time options may also be available.

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mathematics or Science is required, with previous experience teaching the following math courses: Algebra II/Trigonometry, Statistics, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus; and the following science courses: Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Three to five years of teaching experience is preferred, as well as experience in and passion for Catholic classical education. Willingness to also teach Physical Education is preferred.
