Claire Rojas has moved from Denver Colorado to Fort Worth last year with her husband. She has taught iconography for about 7 years. She has worked with a variety of ages from young children to older adults in Colorado and now Texas. She has taught children from Catholic co-ops, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School in Keller TX, and children and adults from Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Westminster Colorado. She is passionate about iconography and does her best to make the process achievable and engaging even to those who aren't artistically inclined.
This iconography workshop will be a wonderful opportunity to delve into a beautiful and wonderful fine art. In this class the students will be shown how to guild haloes and mix up pigments. They will get to choose from a few different reference image icons. They will learn about some of the rich symbolism of iconography and learn how to float their paint, and make highlights on their icons. They will be able to walk away with a beautiful 'window to heaven' that should last many years.
